From January 2026 there are important changes in legislation that will affect many rodenticide users.
Anybody wishing to purchase professional use rodenticide products must hold a stewardship-specific training certificate less than 5 years old, or an older certificate will be valid provided they are part of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme.
For farmers and gamekeepers existing membership in Farm Assurance Schemes will no longer be enough to purchase rodenticide products, so a CRRU approved certificate within the last 5 years must also be held.
We offer this Lantra fully online, CRRU approved training course and assessment in Level 2 Rodent Management which can be easily completed in your own home within 4-6 hours, and following successful completion will provide you with an e-certificate that will be valid for the next 5 years. The £120+ VAT fee includes both the training and the online proctored

The aim of East Kent Training is to provide quality, cost-effective training to rural businesses, including farmers, riding stables, kennels, grounds persons, golf courses and to all businesses in Kent who would like a personal one-stop shop approach to training, assessment and certification.
We have facilities for workshop or classroom based, and chainsaw training in East and West Kent, and will also utlise customer sites to provide in-company and open courses in forklift and pesticides among others.
We are a Lantra Registered training provider, but can also arrange assessment for NPTC (National Proficiency Test Council), ITSSAR or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme). Our first aid courses are HSE approved.
Through our links with other training providers we are able to help with most training needs, for example hazardous plants, trailer training and scaffold inspection training ......... the list is endless, please do contact us if there is something you would like to discuss.
